Adding certainty to life’s unknown.
AstroEdge's Design Purpose
Enhance users' efficiency in taking action and enable more rational decision-making
We hope users can better understand their own personality, rhythm, and behavioral patterns, find action paths that are more suitable for themselves, and through fortune guidance, make more directional judgments when facing uncertain matters. This helps users reduce trial-and-error costs, seize more opportunities for value, and empowers everyone with the ability to understand themselves and optimize their actions.
AstroEdge's Chinese Metaphysics Philosophy
Upholding a scientific and pragmatic philosophy, with extensive empirical evidence as the core foundation.
The team has long sought commonalities through actual fortune-telling practice and user feedback, starting from first principles to establish a theoretical system that has been repeatedly verified. We do not blindly apply unexamined theories, and rigorously transform them into computable system rules through logical reasoning.
Advantages of AI-Based Fortune-Telling
AI can systematically examine every detail according to theoretical frameworks, ensuring no critical information is overlooked.
AI avoids the single-dimensional interpretations that arise from human habitual thinking, providing in-depth analysis of human complexity across multiple dimensions in different contexts. Personality traits are not simply black and white; for example, even among extroverted people there are distinctions. AI will explain the subtle differences based on all introversion and extroversion-related characteristics in the natal chart.
The Predictive Boundaries of Divination
Chinese Metaphysics cannot predict the exact outcomes of specific events, as multiple possibilities exist
When AstroEdge presents predictions unfavorable to the chart holder, this serves as a risk alert and does not mean it will definitely occur. The actual outcome depends on the chemistry between the chart holder and others, as well as the continuity of cause and effect. Therefore, the more detailed background information users provide, the more favorable it is for AstroEdge to make reasonable speculations and suggestions.
To AstroEdge Users
Each person exists within different complex environments and events, and one day, we will all live out a life filled with answers. We hope AstroEdge can accompany you in enjoying and experiencing life's journey, making this life worthwhile.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: Can fortune be changed?
Fortune cannot be changed; fortune is an objective existence
What Chinese Metaphysics can do is, based on the big data summarization of ancient predecessors into a theoretical system, quantify fortune to a certain extent, providing guidance on what times are suitable for what activities to increase the probability of good outcomes, achieving a certain degree of risk control.
Q2: Why is the birth hour required? Can there be a function without birth hour?
A natal chart with birth hour is complete
It allows for more precise understanding of a person's personality and other aspects. Without the birth hour, Ba Zi can only examine six characters, and also requires assuming a time zone; Zi Wei Dou Shu cannot be calculated at all.
Q3: Do birthplace and current location have an impact?
Birthplace is an indispensable factor in deriving Ba Zi; current location is for viewing daily and monthly fortunes
People born at 8 AM will have different Ba Zi depending on whether they were born in the United States or Taiwan. Therefore, a fixed reference frame needs to be established, requiring conversion to the Asia +8 time zone. Similarly, the current location needs to be converted to the Asia +8 time zone, otherwise it will be inaccurate.
Q4: Can multiple questions be asked at once?
It is recommended to focus on one question. AI performs much better at analyzing and answering a single question than dispersing attention across multiple questions. However, if there are a small number of interrelated questions, they can be raised together to increase the comprehensiveness of the analysis.
Q5: Can entering someone else's birth date and time in the conversation be analyzed?
No. Birth date and time entered directly in the conversation cannot be analyzed by AstroEdge's divination system for chart calculation, thus lacking substantial information. If synastry analysis is needed, please use the Synastry feature that is under development.
Q6: Why combine Ba Zi and Zi Wei Dou Shu? What are the differences between the two?
The limitations of divination: cannot violate common sense and objective facts, including policies, objective facts, operational laws, the most basic cognition and common sense, scientific principles and methodologies. Ba Zi's fortune forecast can show a person's general rise and fall patterns; Zi Wei can show a person's specific personality and values, but Zi Wei and Ba Zi cannot show a person's cognition. Cognition needs to be cultivated by the surrounding environment. Hence the saying: first destiny, second fortune, third feng shui; feng shui refers to environment; feng shui means comfort.
Q7: How to contact the AstroEdge team?

What is "Know Yourself"
A personality analysis feature based on Ba Zi and Zi Wei Dou Shu. By interpreting the four pillar in Ba Zi; star configurations, palace characteristics, and Four Transformations in your natal chart, it helps you understand your thinking patterns, behavioral tendencies, and potential traits. Unlike traditional destiny chart readings, AstroEdge not only provides personality descriptions but also offers personalized analysis and recommendations in relation to specific situations you encounter in life.
Benefits of "Know Yourself"
By exploring your true self, you can avoid detours and minimize trial and error. This path allows you to leverage your strengths and manage your weaknesses, leading to a life of inner peace and fulfillment.
For instance, you might tend to overextend yourself for friends, even to the point of being taken advantage of and suffering losses. Once you understand this trait, you gain a layer of awareness before acting: "Is this person seeking a genuine friendship, or just trying to exploit my kindness?"
This change, driven by self-knowledge, is the true essence of "Self-cultivation" in Chinese Metaphysics. It’s not about changing your destiny chart, but about understanding your inherent nature to make better choices, ultimately leading to a more peaceful and balanced life.
Best Usage Practice
Describe your confusion in detail during the conversation. The more complete the information, the more precise the speculation and recommendations AstroEdge can provide. It is recommended to include: specific situational background, what happened, who was involved, in what setting, your thoughts and feelings at the time, what you did or didn't do, the outcome of the situation and your views on the outcome, as well as your confusion or areas you wish to improve.
Input Example
- Career decision confusion: "I recently got an opportunity where my company wants me to relocate to another country for a while, and the pay would be a lot better. But I'm not really feeling it. Any advice?"
- Romantic relationship confusion: "My girlfriend and I recently had an argument because she feels I'm too independent and don't rely on her, and she doesn't feel needed."
- Parent-child education scenario: "In terms of my child's education, what kind of role will I play? I currently have an 11-month-old child. Will I neglect them due to work?"
Getting Started
Recommended Questions AstroEdge provides four carefully designed recommended questions covering different aspects such as romance, work, personality, and interpersonal relationships, etc. These questions can guide you to explore yourself starting from actual life scenarios.
Natal Chart Information Inquiries
- Inquire based on the stars in your natal chart, for example: I have Tai Yin (Moon) in my Fortune Palace, what does this mean?
- Ba Zi-related questions. For example: Does my natal chart have Benefactors?; Do I have Charisma?
Feature Limitations
"Know Yourself" provides personality tendency analysis based on Chinese Metaphysics system, not absolute predictions. What the natal chart shows are potential traits and possibilities; actual manifestations are influenced by multiple factors including upbringing environment, educational background, personal choices, and more. The system will prioritize the specific situations you provide and combine them with your natal chart to give inferences. The same star configuration may have different interpretations in different contexts.
What is "Synastry"
AstroEdge's compatibility analysis feature based on BaZi and Zi Wei Dou Shu. Focused on analyzing the dynamic between "you" and "another person"—— including interaction patterns, personality compatibility, and how you influence each other across different areas of life.
Benefits of "Synastry"
Gain a astrological perspective on the real dynamics between two people. Discover complementary strengths and potential friction points, so you can navigate your relationship with greater clarity.
Best Usage Practices
Share a specific situation, how both of you reacted, and what you'd like to understand. For example: "We always argue at work over planning and execution — what would you suggest?" The more detail you provide, the more precise the analysis.
Limitations and Suggestions
"Synastry" is focused on two-person interaction analysis, with the following limitations:
- Cannot provide fortune or luck forecasts for either person
- Analysis is based on an astrological system, not an absolute prediction of how the relationship will develop
What is "Daily Vibe"
"Daily Vibe" shows your overall luck for each day, along with the trends of nine life areas:
- Self Luck: Travel, Career, Love, Wealth, Health
- Relationships: Social, Romance, Elders, Juniors
Daily Vibe is most accurate at helping you avoid misfortune. For attracting good fortune, it offers a fair degree of reference — truly seizing good fortune involves many more factors, and Daily Vibe can only sketch a rough direction. A gentle reminder: luck rises and falls, and AstroEdge's readings can be wrong. Treat them as reference only — think twice before important decisions, and always trust your own judgment.
Note: "Elders" broadly refers to people who look after you — such as family elders, supervisors, or investors. "Juniors" broadly refers to people you look after — such as children, subordinates, or pets.
Limitations
Luck readings apply to matters that are still full of variables and not yet settled — not to things that have already happened or whose outcome is already fixed (for example, outcomes that are humanly manipulated or defy common sense). Only where uncertainty exists is there "luck" to speak of.
What Makes AstroEdge Different
AstroEdge is built on the Palace Overlay technique of the San He (Southern) school of Zi Wei (Imperial Star Astrology), validated and refined through a large number of real-world cases. Among the many systems of Chinese Metaphysics, Zi Wei stands out for reading the luck of specific life events with a remarkably complete and systematic structure — you don't need to learn any Zi Wei theory; AstroEdge interprets everything for you:
- Fine-grained topics: life matters are mapped onto twelve palaces — the Identity Place for your overall state, the Career Place for work, the Wealth Place for finances, the Spouse Place for love, the Living Place for home and family, the Health Place for wellbeing — every topic has its own home.
- Fine-grained time: readings are especially precise at the monthly, daily, and even hourly level, offering high reference value.
Favorable and Rough
- Favorable: the matter (topic) tends to develop in a positive direction — luck is on your side.
- Rough: the matter (topic) is prone to obstacles, or its luck is in an unstable state.
Usage examples: sales visits, business trips, your own romance luck, and so on.
The Four Transformations (Lu, Quan, Ke, Ji)
- Prosperity: things tend to progress smoothly and fluidly; you are likely to get the outcome you want.
- Authority: you can take charge and steer the situation, handling matters independently with strong execution and discipline.
- Reputation: the process is smooth and harmonious; recognition and a good name come easily, with steady development.
- Obstruction: obstacles and difficulties arise; you dwell on things and can't let go, prone to inner knots and extremes, and often to overwork and over-giving.
Daily, Monthly, Hourly, and Annual Luck
The "flow" in these readings means luck that moves with time. There are four levels:
- Daily Luck: your luck for a single day. A day begins at the hour of Zi — 23:00 China Standard Time (UTC+8) — so everyone worldwide rolls over to a new day at that same moment, rather than at local midnight. AstroEdge converts this to your local time: in China and Taiwan the day changes at 23:00 the night before; in other time zones it lands at a different local hour (around 10 a.m. on the US East Coast, for example), and the time ranges shown on the page are already converted for you.
- Monthly Luck: your luck for a lunar month, rolling over on the first day of each lunar month.
- Hourly Luck: your luck for one shichen — the traditional Chinese two-hour period. AstroEdge converts these to regular clock time for you.
- Annual Luck: your luck for a lunar year, rolling over on Lunar New Year (the first day of the first lunar month).
Combined with a palace, this gives that level's luck — for example, the daily Identity Place reading is the Identity Place's luck for that day, i.e. your overall luck for the day.
One thing to keep in mind: these readings follow the traditional Chinese way of tracking time by heavenly stems and earthly branches, which differs from the Gregorian (solar) calendar we use day to day. A day turns over at the hour of Zi (23:00 China Standard Time), while months and years follow the lunar calendar. Converting back to the Gregorian calendar naturally introduces a gap — Lunar New Year, for instance, falls between late January and February; in 2026, the sixth lunar month corresponds to July 14 – August 12.
The Twelve Palaces
Each palace governs one area of life; combined with Daily or Monthly Luck, it shows how that area trends for the day or the month:
- Identity Place: the foundation of your overall luck, how you handle matters, and your general trend of development.
- Travel Place: luck when out and about, interpersonal relations, and activities in the outside world.
- Parents Place: the state of parents, elders, and superiors, and their influence on you.
- Health Place: physical and mental wellbeing.
- Sibling Place: the state of siblings, your mother, and close friends, and their influence on you.
- Friends Place: the state of colleagues, acquaintances, and service staff, and their influence on you.
- Spouse Place: the state of your spouse or partner, and their influence on you.
- Career Place: career luck, academic luck, and self-directed learning and research.
- Living Place: financial reserves and keeping wealth, expenses, real-estate changes, home environment, and the major outcomes of life's big events.
- Children Place: the state of children, juniors, and subordinates, and their influence on you.
- Heart Place: mood and thoughts, inner psychological state, and emotional regulation.
- Wealth Place: earning ability, resource acquisition, and financial or investment activity.
